Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used in order to move supplies and things around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump which can lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one person.
Pallet trucks must be operated carefully to avoid loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment must be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make sure that the handle can turn smoothly. The pallet must be carefully stacked to be able to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop in order to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be in the middle to be able to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and dragging it behind you. It is really not safe to push the pallet ahead of you as the thrust could cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
