Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A kind of machine which could carry loads which are around 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also referred to as a counterbalance. Despite being big and sturdy, these industrial machinery still bear the potential risk of accident or crash. In order to be safe, be sure to have operators wear the correct seat belt inside the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are also on board. People know that seat belts can save lives in the event of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
Three-point seat belts could extend across the upper body and over the lap. These belts provide an added safety degree by protecting your body. They are offered in both bucket-seat and bench-seat styles. The 3-point seat belts are available in either non-retractable or retractable styles.
Most modern motor vehicles on the market provide retractable seat belts. While non-retractable styles increase safety, retractable kinds provide more comfort. It is not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
The kind of seat belt that only extends over the lower part of the body is a two-point lap belt. Most lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and then the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The kind of seat belt which forces a forklift operator to put on a seat belt is a circuit-closed seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached that enables an alarm to sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band types.
